SEMA 2023: RealTruck Collabs With MeatEater On 2019 Silverado Build

Walking around the SEMA Show, you will often see many project vehicles and SEMA builds that were produced through significant collaborating partnerships. Sometimes involved parties may not even be specifically involved with the automotive industry. But that is ok because it allows for promotional platforms that can attract new enthusiasts and potential customers over who would not normally be exposed otherwise.

MeatEater, the mega-popular hunting and outdoorsman lifestyle brand, collaborated with RealTruck on a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 build that caught our eye. We tapped Ryan Van Surksum, a Territory Sales Manager with Real Truck, to tour the SEMA Build collab for us. Obviously, the MeatEater 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was loaded with anything and everything from RealTruck and its house brands to make this vehicle into a bonafide workhorse. We will testify that it is ready for hunting and fishing and loving everything there is to do in the great outdoors.

RealTruck describes the build like this; “Up first on our most-anticipated build list is our collaboration with hunting apparel brand MeatEater: a heavily modified 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 sporting several backwoods-centric RealTruck products.”

Though 2023’s SEMA show maintained a central focus on the trendy overland scene, the MeatEater build drew attention as a refined hunting rig, sporting several styling cues and modifications reminiscent of an off-road/overland build. With its camouflage wrap, striking high-visibility orange accents, and rugged exterior mods, the MeatEater Silverado commanded the RealTruck booth, drawing outdoorsmen and women from all necks of the woods!

RealTruck Builds At SEMA 2023

As one of the biggest names in the business, RealTruck had many scores of products and dozens of other vehicle builds on display at the 2023 SEMA show. We already spotlighted the McQueen/Steeda X F-150, and fortunately, this build isn’t just a one-off collaboration. The model has joined Steeda’s lineup of factory-modified Fords! The McQueen Racing F-150 Off-Road is now live and available awaiting orders!

There were some other big standouts. Perhaps the biggest, er longest was this six-door Ford Super Duty.

Our favorite vehicle display in the RealTruck booth had to be the big red Jeep FC-170 which was very well-equipped for overlanding adventures.

A Stand Out From the Crowd

If you’re a fan of oddball, vintage Jeeps, check out our 1962 Jeep FC-170 build! This big, red, Forward-Control is a truly one-of-a-kind rig, sporting a custom-fabbed bed, beefy aftermarket bumpers, Baja Designs lighting, Raceline wheels, and more! We’ve supplied several parts for the build.

The heavily modified Jeep FC-170 stuck out like a sore thumb…in a good way! This build was one of the more custom rides on the showroom floor, sporting a custom flatbed, custom bumpers, and several one-off suspension mods to give the Forward Control a one-of-a-kind appearance. With all that work, the vintage Jeep drew a seemingly never-ending crowd.

While an unconventional overlander, the FC-170, with its rooftop tent, expertly-planned storage, and off-road-centric suspension, was right at home among the countless other overland builds.

I also really liked this 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 that was decked out with modern parts but still sported the retro off-road look. There is nothing like a super clean white truck with all-black trim and accessories. The only other color was the ZR2 Badging, the Chevrolet Flowtie, and the off-road recovery hooks.
